In December, 2008, the International Centre for Social Research and Policy Analysis has joined the  initiative extended by European Commission Delegation in Georgia on elaborating the relevant Strategy for Regional Development of Georgia based on the preceding Diagnostic Report in the field of Innovation, New Technologies and Entrepreneurship.  ICSRPA Experts have taken the responsibility to assess current institutional policy background, ongoing programs, trends and initiatives with respect to regional innovation, technological progress and entrepreneurship, develop the criteria for benchmarking evaluation approaches and provide the recommendations to the Government of Georgia.

In the era of globalization, the changes in management theory and methodology, are occurring rapidly across a wide range of issues involving knowledge economy, social capital, innovation and knowledge management, leadership, organizational change, which requires benchmarked competitive adaptation on national, organizational and individual level. The European Union has declared 2009 the Year of Innovation and Knowledge Economy, which presents complex challenges and refers to tackling modern management models in a more effective way.

The International Centre  for Social Research and Policy Analysis (ICSPRA) conducted Experts Seminar “Social Market Economic Model and National Competitiveness of Georgia”, on 12-13 December 2008, in Courtyard Marriott Hotel. This activity has been organized under the auspices of Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Our centre offers four week certified training course in PR Management. The course develops the skills required to research target audience, develop a PR plan, communicate with customers and evaluate results. Participants plan, develop, and implement PR strategies, learn new ideas, practice useful skills. They will be introduced with highly valuable licensed course materials including e-books, business games and simulations, tests, etc.

The International Centre for Social Research and Policy Analysis (ICSRPA) from 18 to 21 December, 18:30-20:30, will conduct public lectures in Elite Crisis in Georgia and the Necessity of Meritocracy.

Promoting the Networks of Innovation and Building Strategic Partnerships for Advocating National Innovation System in Georgia, starts in September, 2008. The Project aims at creating powerful network to coordinate  synergetic partnerships among the Government of Georgia, business sector, universities, scientific research institutions, donor organizations.

Our centre's research activities have significantly promoted international recognition and remarkable outcomes. In particular, Dr. George Ivaniashvili, the Chairman, has been  elected as a Visiting Scholar by the Management Committee of the Centre for International Studies, University of Cambridge.  Within the framework of this program he has carried out the research — Implications of European Neighbourhood Policy on National Competitiveness of Georgia.

This study rethinks and makes critical analysis of existing theoretical aspects of national competitiveness and clarifies the framework for the European Neighbourhood Policy prospects in the context of Georgia's performance.
